Before you head out
Guidance is a straight line, not a walkable route. Check terrain, land ownership and legal access. Ownership and hunt overlays are reference data. Match your exact permit to its boundary and confirm current restrictions.
GPS can work without cell service, but needs permission and a clear sky. Keep the app open while navigating; iPhone may pause it in the background.
